In their fifth year, students are concluding their projects focused on enhancing agricultural sustainability in various domains such as irrigation, machinery, green energy, and processing. One group has developed a solar-powered incubator, leveraging Kenya's abundant solar energy to hatch eggs, thereby boosting farmers' income and enhancing food security. Another team has been dedicated to modifying the shelling unit of a motorized groundnut sheller to enhance efficiency and minimize mechanical damage. Additionally, a Savonius wind turbine has been designed to utilize green energy for pumping water, contributing to climate change adaptation in irrigation. Lastly, a solar-powered ice maker project aims to refine ice harvesting techniques for existing ice makers, facilitating the preservation of fish and perishable farm products and, consequently, reducing post-harvest losses on farms
